Placed Short just before open with 11pts stop. Didn’t adjust stop to specific open price and stopped out, despite market only moving 9pts higher. Realised mistake and re-entered. $400+ profit turned into $80 profit.

Market will usually move in one direction then move violently in the other following a large fall and day futures move down. Unfortunately don’t have my usual automation tools set on this account so just had to assume would move significantly higher into open before falling. Set sell orders above market before beauty sleep. Move was actually very muted and chopped higher. Stopped out in last hour of trade. 4th largest rally back under those conditions in data set.
