Diving into the world's most interesting trading minds.

You might have noticed over the past week that in conjunction with Aiden ‘Churgers’ Mayne, I’ve started a podcast called ‘Traders Live Podcast’.

We’ve split the pod into 2 seperate parts, and the idea behind this was twofold.

Firstly, we both love talking trading, and found that while there’s heaps of excellent morning podcasts and email lists summarising overnight data releases and moves out there, the question we found ourselves asking at the end of all of them was '“So what?” It’s great that Lichensteins CPI was down on last quarter, but how does that benefit my trading? So we’ve started a “Trader Bite” in the mornings with a focus on providing some light-hearted trading-specific context to these macro events.

These will post posted on my Substack each morning by 8am AEST for premium subscribers, and a bit later on Twitter & Youtube. We encourage viewer engagement, so if you have any questions on anything specific, or markets in general before or after the pod, feel free to leave a comment.

Secondly, over the past few months of getting to know people in the ‘Fintwit’ space, I’ve come across some of the most interesting traders (and people) I’ve ever met. Most of the time they’re not twitter-famous or have massive followings, but I’ve found them to have a lot to offer, not always in the trading space, but just with general life lessons.

I believe that in any area of focus, standing on the shoulders of giants is crucial, and what better way to get a glimpse into how these guys and girls minds work, then listening and watching them deal with pressure, so we came up with the idea of recording the interview whilst live trading. We’ll keep a leaderboard, and at the end of the first season, one guest will be crowned the Master of the Universe (or something like that). If you want to become a better trader, I strongly encourage you to check them out…i think they’ll provide enormous value to you.
