THE QUANT CARTEL - FOLLOW UP INFO

Thanks to those that joined us for the first official Quant Cartel Session yesterday morning. We were very fortunate in that the data played out largely as expected, so had a profitable time doing it! My $5,000 account I started on our first session for 2025 is currently at $9,012, which is a solid result after 3 days. Look forward to seeing the rest of you over the next few weeks.
I’ve had plenty of queries following this morning’s session around what I’m trying to do / background to this concept / cost so thought I would provide some more detail.
Over the last year I’ve had many requests to provide subscribers with some kind of one on one coaching / mentoring, in order to accelerate their goal of transitioning to becoming a full time, profitable trader. I’ve assisted a few people ad hoc, but unfortunately I just really haven’t had the capacity to do so consistently, and doing this would mean that I wouldn’t be able to provide other subscribers with similar levels of service, when requested.
However, it’s actually something that a) I really enjoy, b) wish I had access to when I first started out, and c) believe I could provide massive value in terms of mindset, strategy and execution over and above just the raw data. The benefits to coaching across any discipline are pretty obvious and have been proved again and again. I particularly like this recent Substack article by AlphaMind. As mentioned in my last post, I’m viewing it as a “Turtle Trader” like concept, with a tight group of traders executing using similar, proven methods and probabilities.
From asking around it seems like most of you guys are in 1 of 2 camps:
Love the data….just leave it there, egghead. I don’t need or want any of your input.
I want to understand the ‘How’ and the ‘Why’ behind all of this data analysis stuff, learn different strategies based on the data and probabilities, and make a serious attempt to succeed and be successful at this full time.
For those in the first camp, there’s nothing changing.
For those in the second camp, in order to be able to give my 100% but also be able to scale this for multiple subscribers, I’ve launched The Quant Cartel.
It’s not for everyone and I’m certainly not going to spam you with it, but if your goal is to become a data driven, profitable trader, here’s what it will include:
Group Live Trading Sessions
I’ve been running these sporadically with a few of you over the past few weeks, and those involved will no doubt already appreciate the value of this. We’ll kickstart the trading day with a "Before the Bell" video conference session on Riverside. Duration will be flexible but I imagine these running from ~9:30am (sharp, please login around 9:25am) to 10:30am AEST at the latest, most days. My opinion is that by this time, we’ve been able to adjust positioning according to our rules and various “Checkpoints” (Open / First 15 Mins / First 60 Mins moves) and you should know everything you need to know for the day.
The impact of using AI over the past few weeks to organise and sort the various ‘Edges’ (which I’ve pulled from the data over the past few years) in real time has been, in a word, a Game-Changer (or is that two words?), and has improved to the point where I’m comfortable letting loose into the wild (see below a recent example of AI output when fed the dataset, resulting in a subsequent 30pts profit). These edges have been pulled from SPX, UK100, and AUS200 historical data.
These sessions are designed to be collaborative and provide you with a comprehensive recap / learnings from the previous trading day including my trades and thought processes, a preview of what’s ahead, and a live environment where you can ask me (or the data) anything. We’ll also dive into live trading during market open, after we formulate some trading ideas and plans based on the data, which will hopefully help build confidence in executing on large opportunities, which is the #1 roadblock to traders going to the next level.
Often it will be a nothing type day….there’s no ‘need’ to attend (it’s not High School), and you can participate as little / as much as you want. I’ll be online from most days regardless.

Annual 2-Day Trading & Networking Event
I have no idea what this will entail at the moment, but the itinerary will be open for input. Network with fellow traders, trade together, or just relax. The location and details will be announced in time, but rest assured, I’ll make sure this event will be of value, if only as an excuse to escape from the wife / husband / family for a couple of days😉
Ongoing Accountability
Part of this will be to help you stay on track with ongoing accountability sessions. Whether you’re fine-tuning your strategy, seeking advice on a recent trade, or just need a confidence boost, these catchups are designed to provide you with the support and guidance you need to achieve consistent success. End of week P&L run through, and analysis….I’m flexible, it’s up to you.
Access to Historical Data & Search Capabilities
You’ll gain greater access to our vast historical dataset, able to request for me to screenshare, search and query it however you like. Want to Backtest, or looking for a specific market pattern? I’ll give you a hand. Initial work has already started on developing software around this for you to use yourselves, which will form part of this membership in time.

As much as I would love to do this all for free, this initiative is obviously a significant investment of my own time and money, particularly as we work towards eventually building the ultimate data-driven platform.

It’s obviously a significant investment, but there is going to be A LOT of value here and I believe the ROI will be significant, and much, much greater than the extra weekly cost. I have been rolling this out with a couple of subscribers already, and I’ll be limiting spaces initially.
