Thursday 26th October 2023 Data Review
XJO Change: -49pts
AUS200 Futures Day Change: -30pts
Current AUS 200 Overnight Futures Pricing: +6
S&P500 Change: -50pts
UK100 Change: -59pts
AUS200 RECAP
Finished within parametres. 10am open and 11am spike at the top end of expected XJO moves and worthwhile short entries.
UK100 OVERNIGHT RECAP
Chopped lower to 7pm, before a rally back to open. Potential for profit on LONG limit orders below open given upward bias noted yesterday.
Interesting that last night was the 2nd lowest move up to a first session high when the SPX is >15pts lower during our day session. Would have expected a much larger move up.
SPX OVERNIGHT RECAP
Didn’t get our 100pts fall, but as noted yesterday afternoon, picture became much murkier when we had those large daytime falls.
50pts fall aint bad though with such a short bias on two different fronts from early morning, and should have provided plenty of opportunities for profit.
A reminder with the data that while we may not get ultimate ‘mega’ moves that we’re hoping for / seeing potential for in the data….the vast majority of time we can at least expect directional forces to move the market in that direction, as they have in the past. In terms of how / when you take profits, that’s up to you.
